On our way to the National park last week, we randomly stopped at this roadside place for lunch. Didn't have much expectation, we were very happy and satisfied with the food and services. I ordered chili relleno and hubby had two crispy tacos; one chicken one carnitas, both came with rice and beans. We were blown away by how fresh and tasty both of our dishes were, we pretty much cleaned our plates even the rice and beans which we normally don't care and contemplating another stop on our way back. Although we are not qualified to judge Mexican food, we thought this was one of the best we've ever had. The lady owner Lorena was very pleasant and friendly, we so wish that we have this caliber of Mexican food near home.

Been told they have great authentic Mexican food. Been wanting to go. Finally stopped in for late lunch with my baby girl after getting back from Comic-Con in SD. Only one table occupied. Good parking. Place clean. Bathroom clean. Waitress really nice. We ordered three types of tacos (carnitas, tripas, and adobado). I wanted menudo which they serve daily, delicious, great flavors and portions. Flavors comparable to Mexican food in SoCal Chips and salsa. Little bit of a wait but expected, not bad. Affordable! Will definitely come back.
One of my favorite places to eat! I love their chicken soup and their carnitas tacos are to die for! I literally crave Lorena's at least once a week. Service is always exceptional and the food is always fresh with amazing flavors. Seriously try the carnitas tacos or torta!
